Ways to Get Involved at Spark

Being enrolled at Spark full time has lots of amazing benefits, yet you can still be a part of our intentional community even if your learning goals require maximum flexibility throughout the week. We believe in being Agile, and encourage you to inform yourself about the different flexible opportunities available at Spark. We believe in building connections and community and would love to hear from you if you feel inspired in helping us co-create an opportunity for young people!

Homeschool Enrichment

Spark ALC has it roots in the homeschool community. All of our original families started as homeschoolers before Spark ALC became a private school. These connections still remain strong! We welcome homeschoolers to join Spark learners part-time through one of our two day a week options. Find more information about part-time enrollment here.

Teen Game Nights

Spark ALC hosts teen game nights during the ten month school year to encourage social interaction and connections with the larger teen community in our area. We provide a laid back, safe atmosphere for teens to have fun and get to know each other. Dates for the 2025-2026 school year will be coming soon.

Spark ALC Teen Dances

We invite all homeschoolers, unschoolers, and self-directed learners to join us for our vibrant teen dance nights—lively, high-energy events featuring two and a half hours of music played by a live DJ. These formal celebrations are held two to three times per year and are open to learners across the broader community. Dates for the 2025–2026 school year will be announced soon!
